Get out your crystal balls

Wednesday, Dec 09, 2009

It’s that time of year again when every expert under the sun begins to share their predictions for the year to come.  We certainly have some ideas for what’s in store for 2010 (many of which revolve around the continued acceptance of SaaS and cloud computing), but we wanted to take a moment to help round up some of our favorite predictions from around the web.

Here are just a few to get you started:

5 Higher Ed Tech Trends to Watch in 2010 (from Campus Technology)

Four Email Marketing Predictions for 2010 (from MediaPost)

2010 Trends: Social Media and Paid Content (from eMarketer)

Top 5 Cloud Computing Predictions for 2010 (from InfoWorld)

IT Security Predictions for 2010 (from eWeek)

Meanwhile, while some are taking time to look into the future, others like CRM expert Paul Greenberg are taking time to reflect on some of their predictions from 2009.  His results?  Some of the times he was right all of the time.

Finally, the Silicon Valley chapter of PRSA recently compiled a video of predictions made by several media experts over the last couple of years. What do you think is in store for the future?
