Carol Gersten, Senior Director, Client Success

Todd Gibby, President and CEO Linkedin

Todd Gibby brings a rare combination of business experience and higher education technology expertise to Intelliworks. It’s also been said by one former manager that his core competencies are his height (6’1”) and public speaking ability (rated strong to very strong).

Under Todd’s leadership, Intelliworks has emerged as a player to watch in the relationship management for higher education space. Todd brings a “maniacal passion” to establishing Intelliworks as an industry thought leader, to ensuring clients’ success with our solutions, and to building a world-class team of cohesive and committed professionals. Thankfully, he doesn’t take himself quite as seriously as he does this mission.

Prior to taking the reigns at Intelliworks, Todd served as executive vice president of operations for another higher education technology company, Blackboard. In seven years at Blackboard, Todd held several key executive roles across the company's operations and sales departments and helped grow the company from $2 million in revenue to over $180 million. Still not convinced of Todd's higher ed technology street cred? Before helping Blackboard become a leader in e-Education, he also worked on business development efforts at Campus Pipeline (now part of SunGard Higher Education). Todd also has held strategic planning and finance positions at Dole Food Company, Lehman Brothers, and Viking Graham, a boutique private equity firm.

When he's not reading his Dartmouth ('91) or Wharton ('97) alumni newsletters, Todd enjoys coaching his daughter’s soccer team or taking his son fly-fishing. He also tries to escape to the Pocono Mountains with the whole family, including dog Dixie, whenever humanly possible.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

“I'm Todd Gibby, and I approve this message.”

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“Todd Gibby is wicked smart, pretty tall, a good speaker...and great mentor.” – Dan Obregon, Director of Marketing

Sudeep Dharan, Senior Vice President, Product Development and Services Linkedin

As you’d expect from an engineer, Sudeep Dharan is a master chess player and Sudoku fanatic. Perhaps it’s this love of logic-based games and puzzles that have contributed to Sudeep’s ability to find unique solutions for solving everyday relationship management challenges. As head of Intelliworks’ product development and services, he is responsible for product strategy, managing the global development, support and services teams. Notice the words “global” and “worldwide”? That means he travels…a lot. Luckily for us, Sudeep is un-phased by time zones and sleeps only when necessary.

Before joining Intelliworks, Sudeep lead the release of TRADOS' largest enterprise solution as well as managing several customer and regulatory audits. Sudeep's experience includes leading the product development, quality assurance and product management organizations at Legato Systems, with a staff of 120 in the US and India. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in various Management capacities worldwide in Informix Software.

After leaving his native Singapore for the United States, Sudeep earned a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Kansas State University.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

“Of course we can make it happen. That's what we do.”

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“The big man gets things done." - Rana Chakrabarti, Software Engineer

Jack Dilanian, Vice President, Sales

Talk about being connected. Jack Dilanian is CRM personified. Few people are as passionate and dedicated to building strong relationships with higher education institutions. Not a bad trait for someone responsible for our sales strategy and operations. A proud student of Hellenic cuisine, Jack is passionate about his heritage and has access to some of the world's finest Greek and Armenian recipes, including some of Mama Dilanian's secret dishes.

With more than 10 years of sales experience, Jack brings a wealth of knowledge to our team out in the field. Most recently, Jack was a vice president of sales at Blackboard.

He began his career at UUNET Technologies where he was a regional manager for such accounts as Lycos, AboveNet and Yahoo. A native of Virginia, Jack has lived all over the Metropolitan Washington area, but returned recently to Fairfax County, home of his beloved George Mason University where he graduated with a bachelor’s in finance.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

“Before we talk about what we do, what are you trying to accomplish?”

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack..." - Mama Dilanian

Carol Gersten, Senior Director, Client Success Linkedin

Carol Gersten is our conscience. She’s what keeps us honest. As the leader of our client success team, she’s on the front lines of what our client partners are experiencing out in the field. Her team is responsible for making sure you make the most of your experience with Intelliworks’ products. Carol also spearheads our services offerings which include integrations, training, implementation support and almost any other type of services request our clients can come up with (with some notable exceptions).

Prior to joining Intelliworks, she was an associate director of program management at a global biotech corporation, MedImmune, where she led enterprise implementations of document management and information management systems across multiple business units. She also was the director of project management for Manugistics, where she led the release management activities for their supply chain management product set. And guess where else she worked? Carol served as a senior program manager for Blackboard, an e-Education software provider based in Washington, D.C.

When she’s not ferrying her twin boys to and from various soccer events, Carol is either dreaming of the hills in Vermont or looking for ways to help out the environment. She drives a Prius, has a house full of compact fluorescent light bulbs, and in a previous life she worked for the Environmental Defense Fund in New York City. Carol studied at The State University of New York (SUNY), College at Oneonta and she has an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland (’00).

IN HER OWN WORDS

"Did sales tell you that?!?"

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“Don't mess with the Gerstenator!” – Todd Gibby, CEO

Daniel Obregon, Director of Marketing Linkedin

Dan writes his status reports as haiku, and drinks eight cups of green tea per day. Perhaps that’s why he brings a zen-like focus along with several years of marketing and media experience to Intelliworks. Most recently, he worked at eStara (now part of Art Technology Group), a leading provider of e-commerce optimization and customer interaction solutions. At eStara he worked on a number of product marketing and thought leadership initiatives, and was responsible for the company’s marketing communications, media and analyst relations. He was also author of the company’s blog, Multichannel Musings, where he shared his opinions on e-commerce, interactive media and customer service.

Prior to that, Dan held program management and operations positions at the Public Broadcasting Service and Discovery Communications respectively. He began his career at Boscobel Marketing Communications, a boutique marketing firm in the D.C. area, where he worked on accounts for The Steve Case Foundation, National Foundation for Credit Counseling and America’s Learning eXchange, a now defunct lifelong learning portal founded by the U.S. Department of Labor.

While he did earn a graduate degree from American University ('04), Dan considers himself a die-hard Terrapin and remains faithful to his undergraduate alma mater, the University of Maryland ('00). He owns a 120lb. dog named after a French television series, and enjoys taking exotic vacations to places like Peru and New Jersey with his rocket scientist wife (seriously, she’s a rocket scientist).

IN HIS OWN WORDS

“A good solution executed perfectly is better than a perfect solution executed poorly. Okay, okay...so that was General Patton, but you get where I'm coming from.”

IN THEIR OWN WORDS

“Dan Obregon? Great marketer. Also the worst ping-pong player in the company.” – Todd Gibby, CEO
