Undergraduate and Graduate Schools to use CRM to Increase Admissions Efficiency and Automate Reporting
Bethesda, MD – March 1, 2010 – Intelliworks, Inc., a leading provider of relationship management solutions for higher education, today announced that Simmons College (www.simmons.edu) in Boston will be adopting Intelliworks to automate tracking of prospective students, manage marketing campaigns and increase the efficiency of their recruitment efforts for both its undergraduate and graduate programs.
“By using Intelliworks, we now have the tool set necessary to operate more efficiently across the institution,” said Jake Berry, assistant vice president of enrollment and online marketing. “We hope this increased efficiency will lead to more students and more tuition revenue.”
Prior to Intelliworks, Simmons had been manually tracking and comparing admissions data across the undergraduate and graduate schools, a process that was challenging and took time away from important marketing and recruitment work. With over 7,500 applications coming in annually, Simmons needed a way to reduce manual data entry and quickly produce reports based on the most up-to-date information available.
“We wanted an integrated system to streamline our admissions processes and ultimately allow us to grow and develop new marketing programs,” said Berry.
Due to the fact that Simmons’ legacy student information system had been customized heavily over the years, the institution could not simply add on a CRM module provided by their SIS vendor. Additionally, generating reports from their student information system was a challenge. Intelliworks offered all of the capabilities the institution was looking for to manage marketing, inquiries, admissions and reporting, and it allowed Simmons to implement its solutions with minimal effort or IT involvement due to Intelliworks’ software-as-a-service delivery model.
“Intelliworks’ software-as-a-service architecture will allow Simmons to easily exchange data across schools and departments, said Todd Gibby, CEO of Intelliworks. “Not only will they have the tools to communicate more effectively with their prospects, they’ll also be able to access reporting and analytics in real-time to gauge the effectiveness of their recruitment efforts. This gain in efficiency will help the school to better serve prospective students and boost enrollment.”
